NEW YORK, NY (October 26th, 2012) — Last Rites Gallery opens it’s fifth annual The 13th Hour group exhibit, celebrating the spirit of the Halloween Season.

In its annual exhibit, Last Rites sets out to present a broad-spectrum representation of Dark Surrealism. Held days just before Halloween, the show is the gallery’s largest group exhibit, and features renowned artists from around the globe- working in an array of mediums including painting, drawing and sculpture. From gothic elegance to finely crafted grotesquery, the beauty within the darkness is embraced and brought into the spotlight.

Sanctity Prints

There will be a very limited number of large Sanctity” prints available at my open studio this weekend. They were printed over in the UK and shipped over a few weeks ago courtesy of Coates and Scarry . I have the only 8 available here in the US out of an edition of 40. They are gorgeously reproduced on 21″ x 26″ heavyweight paper and cost $175. ea. Open studio maps and info are available on the Mid City Artists Website.

“Anomalies” – beinArt Surreal Art Collective Exhibition.

“Anomalies” will be the third beinArt Collective group show at Copro Gallery, curated by Jon Beinart. The participating artists have been hand picked for their natural disposition towards the strange and deranged. This exhibition will showcase over 50 artists’ interpretations of “Anomalies” and sideshow/carny culture. There will be paintings, drawings and sculptures of subjects that will deviate, distort and mystify. Human oddities, anatomical wonders, freaks, geeks & gaffs. Step right up and peek inside the beinArt Collective’s cabinet of curiosities!
